Upcycling is a practical way for us to use waste material to make something new. Whether it's simply updating an unstylish chair, or creating a completely new table from waste wood.

Impact Hub Basel invites you to an interactive session with the local business ecochair.ch, where you will be introduced to upcycling as a concept, learn some simple techniques for repairing and upcycling furniture yourself, and meet local businesses who are putting this into practice.

ecochair.ch is a social enterprise promoting second-hand design, vintage and upcycled furniture in Basel. They have a webshop and retail store, as well connecting people to local businesses through guides and tours.

As a member of the Swiss-wide Circular Economy Transition Initiative, Impact Hub Basel seeks to accelerate the transition to the circular economy at a local and national level. The program is aimed at interested individuals, startups as well as larger companies.
