We live in a world of fast furniture. Where people once bought furniture to last a lifetime, now we change it every few years as the fashion changes; and throw out millions of pieces a year.
Upcycling is a practical way for us to use waste material to make something new. Whether it's simply updating an unstylish chair, or creating a completely new table from waste wood.
Do you want to learn how upcycling furniture fits into the concepts of circular economy and zero waste?
Impact Hub Basel invites you to an interactive session with the local business ecochair.ch, where you will be introduced to upcycling as a concept, learn some simple techniques for repairing and upcycling furniture yourself, and meet local businesses who are putting this into practice.
