Thousands around the world see Climathon as a powerful tool to mobilize cities, citizens and local economies to combat climate change. In order to create (some) order in that chaos and have the maximum possible global impact, each city has its own local organizers. In Basel this is the Department for Environment and Energy, IWB and Impact Hub Basel.
Join the Climathon in Basel to connect with developers, entrepreneurs, students and city officials and work on a more sustainable and climate-resilient city. Together you will find innovative solutions for Basel and win support from the city, IWB, Climate-KIC and other partners. You are free to come with an existing idea, start-up, or work on a new solution with others and will be supported by experts and coaches. After the 24-hour Hackathon you will pitch your idea to the jury - the best solutions will get the chance to be further developed with the support of Basel’s Climathon partners.

Tausende auf der ganzen Welt sehen den Climathon als ein wirksames Instrument, um Städte, BürgerInnen und lokale Wirtschaften zur Bekämpfung des Klimawandels zu mobilisieren. Um Ordnung in diesem Chaos zu schaffen und die grösstmögliche globale Wirkung zu erzielen, hat jede Stadt ihre eigenen lokalen Organisatoren. In Basel sind dies das Amt für Umwelt und Energie, IWB und der Impact Hub Basel.
Nimm am Climathon in Basel teil, um an einer nachhaltigeren und klimafreundlicheren Stadt zu arbeiten. Es steht dir frei, mit einer bestehenden Idee oder einem bestehenden Startup zu kommen oder an einer neuen Lösung zu arbeiten - dabei werdet ihr von ExpertInnen unterstützt. Nach 24 Stunden präsentiert ihr der Jury eure Idee - die besten Lösungen erhalten die Möglichkeit, mit Unterstützung der Basler Climathon Partnern weiterentwickelt zu werden.
